We know things happen and sometimes you might be running late, but make sure to do your best to be there for your session to get the best experience! As professionals, we plan the best that we can to make sure we can maximize your time for all the best photos and to capture all the important moments we talk about.
What Happens When You're "Just" 10 Minutes Late
1) Your portraits will feel rushed and your baby will get distracted when guests arrive. We plan to get your portraits at the beginning before the guests have arrived. Why? Because as soon as your guests start to arrive, they'll want to say hi, hug you and start moving your precious decorations around that you worked hard on.
If you have kids and you want to get solo portraits, they usually get crankier as the party goes on and closer to their nap time. Plus, with 50 guests trying to get your baby's attention, he or she can easily get worn out or too distracted to focus on the camera and photographer.
2) You'll Risk Missing Moments. Photographers Plan their Shots and we need to adjust our equipment. To get the best shots, we use the appropriate lens, lighting and creativity in combination. If you try to rush all the photos you have in mind, we need to change our lenses more often and adjust ourselves for the shot. Typically you want to do your portraits and groups together and spend a chunk of time just focused on capturing moments.
Of course, if you have something in mind, let us know and we can talk with you to see if it's possible or what we can do to make it work!
We LOVE our clients, but please remember to also give us some free reign or breather room to be creative or make suggestions as you have also booked us to help capture your event. We love to create cool things with our clients, so let us know what you have in mind!
